It’s as far away as the one I bought in Flagstaff. That was terrifying and I wouldn’t wish that on anyone (although, coming from a shop this one should theoretically run better?). My trip was almost as dramatic as Orlove’s.

I didn’t read Orloves. But he does have some adventures.
If it’s sitting outside a shop, it’s likely broke.

Broke is a relative term with 30-year old vehicles!
I started reading his because he decided to fly to Cali and get the Beetle right around when I decided to go to AZ and get my Tercel. He broke down a lot more than I did (because I didnt) but I was stuck on an interstate for 770 miles going 20+ under the speed limit.
